Charles Clark

SVP, Mortgage Warehouse Finance Executive

Mr. Clark has over 40 years’ experience in the financial services industry, completing his Series 7 registration in May of 1980. Charley spent his first 20 years in the industry at four major investment banking firms including Morgan Stanley, Citigroup, Merrill Lynch, and Lehman Bros. His primary focus there was in sales, trading, and structuring of mortgage backed and asset backed securities. He spent the last 20 years in the commercial banking arena. At Sovereign Bank he founded the Structured Products Group for Sovereign Bank Capital Markets Division and served as Senior Vice President for 10 years. While at Sovereign, in 2004, he recruited a team to establish a mortgage warehouse finance business. The core of that team is still with him at TIAA Bank today. That team brought their talents to MetLife in 2010. EverBank purchased the division from MetLife in early 2012. Since that time his team has grown to be one of the largest warehouse lenders in the USA. They provide daily funding liquidity, Mortgage Servicing Rights, and Advance Line liquidity for over 40 of the leading independent mortgage banking companies. His team now manages over $10B of liquidity lines with many client relationships dating back 20 years or more.

Mr. Clark is a leading voice in the mortgage industry and is the current chair of the Executive Council Steering Committee of the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) Warehouse Lenders Roundtable. Charley holds a B.S. from Cornell University and has completed the program “Leadership in the Financial Services Industry” at the Harvard Business School.
